We have to take a moment to fully reflect on what a remarkable achievement Jim’s Journey was.

For those not in the know, back in the summer of 2016 we sponsored Jim on an epic 710 mile walk over 52 days around the South West Coastal Path! He started in Minehead in June and set off through Exmoor, across North Devon and into Cornwall. climbed more than 115,000 feet (nearly four times the height of Mount Everest). Jim followed the coast all around the tip of England to the south of Cornwall before carrying on to Dorset, reaching his final destination of Poole Harbour on the 4th August.

During this time he kept an active social media presence, titled Jim’s Journey, and recorded his trek via photos of every places he visited and of the people he met. Along the way Jim raised money for some worthy causes and collected donations as he went around the West Country.

The charities he was raising money for were Over and Above, and Force Cancer Charity. We’ve recently learnt that he raised an outstanding £8,400! The money is being shared between the two charities that are close to Jim’s heart, to help enhance services for South West cancer patients. It’s also part of the Huntsham Hotspots initiative to aid local charities and unregistered charitable causes in the South West.

Jim has completed a massive achievement and from all of the Huntsham Court team we offer him our heartfelt congratulations – well done Jim! It has been an honour to know you and to be involved with your efforts.

Whenever we get a spare moment we enjoy looking at all his pictures and reading all the little stories that generated through his journey. If you’d like to have a browse of his trek pictures visit his Facebook page.
